We all know what is on the line tonight. If the Blackhawks win, the Boston Bruins will be here on Wednesday night for the start of the Stanley Cup Final. If the Kings win, this series and their season gets extended for at least one more game. I am very confident that the Hawks will take care of business tonight on home ice. We all know the Kings are bad in road games. We all know that they are also banged up. We all know that Duncan Keith will be back for the Hawks tonight. We all know Corey Crawford has been just a bit better than Jonathan Quick in this series. All of these factors lead me to believe that this series ends tonight. There is no reason to give the defending Cup champs any kind of boost in their confidence. An LA win tonight lets them know that they can win in Chicago, The way Quick can steal games with his play, I want nothing to do with playing any more games that we don't have to. A couple of 1st period goals for the boys in red should work wonders on seeing the Campbell Bowl at center ice tonight,
Coach Q had Patrick Kane up on the top line with Bryan Bickell and Jonathan Toews during the morning skate today. The natural chemistry of DDN and playing with a big body like Bickell seemed to put the jump in the step of one number 88. Kings head coach Darry Sutter said Mike Richards is "50/50" for making his return to the lineup tonight. Normally I would advise someone who is nursing a concussion to not come back too early, especially with your team down 3-1. Back in 2011, I didn't think it was necessary for Dave Bolland to return from injury with the Hawks down 3-0 to the Canucks. We all saw the spark his return gave the Hawks, so maybe the same type of thing can happen for the Kings.
