With today’s beard, we pay tribute to a fallen Hollywood icon, Dennis Hopper, who died yesterday. To say Hopper got a lot of mileage out of life is an understatement, and he had roles in several landmark pieces of movie making, like Cool Hand Luke, Easy Rider, and Apocalypse Now in which he has a tremendous beard, as pictured above. Hopper played many….eccentric characters in his career, but none more so that the photo journalist in Apocalypse Now, who goes batshit after following an even bat-shittier Brando deep into the jungle. I know it’s not much, but it’s the best we can do to give homage here at SCH, so godspeed, Mr. Hopper.
