The Chicago Blackhawks allowed five first-period goals in a 6-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday at MTS Centre in Winnipeg. The Hawks have Friday off before visiting Buffalo for a Saturday matinee.
Brody Roybal (Northlake) scored two goals and had two assists for the Team USA’s sled hockey team in a 10-1 win over Italy to advance to the gold-medal game against Canada. Josh Misiewicz (La Grange) had a goal and two assists, while Kevin McKee (Chicago) also had a goal.
The Chicago area trio and the Americans face Canada in the gold-medal game 10 p.m. Central time Saturday. The game will air live on NBCSN.
