The Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews did not return after exiting the second period of Wednesday’s 2-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks with an upper-body injury.

Coach Joel Quenneville said he’s hopeful Toews’ injury isn’t serious or long-term.
