Morning Bag Skate: Nick Schmaltz helping Team USA at World Championship

Chicago Blackhawks forward Nick Schmaltz has three assists for the United States, who have won five straight at the World Championship. Team USA is sitting atop Group A with 15 points.

The Americans have one game remaining in the preliminary round, which comes Tuesday when they play Russia, who plays Latvia on Monday. Russia is one point back in the group standings and are led by Artemi Panarin’s tournament-leading 10 points (seven goals, three assists).
