Blackhawks prospect Graham Knott and the Windsor Spitfires shut down the Erie Otters and Alex DeBrincat 4-2 in Tuesday’s game at the Memorial Cup.
Windsor’s win automatically puts them into Sunday’s championship game after three straight wins in round robin play.
Erie’s loss ends a 10-game winning streak by OHL champions at the Memorial Cup. The Otters now prepare for a semifinal matchup against the Saint John Sea Dogs and Hawks prospects Matthew Highmore and Nathan Noel on Friday.
