Welcome to Episode 217 of Musings on Madison, here on the Second City Hockey podcast network, your weekly destination for a roundup of all things involving the Chicago Blackhawks. The usual trio of Dave, Eric and Betsy gathered ahead of the 2026-27 NHL regular season for a full preview of the upcoming 84 games, with a wide-ranging discussion that touches on projections for Connor Bedard’s injury-abbreviated-season, what kind of steps forward could be taken by the youth-heavy lineup, how Patrick Kane will fare in his return to Chicago and whether or not making the playoffs is an attainable (or necessary) outcome for the season.
