NCAA hockey selection show 2018 live stream: Time, TV schedule, how to watch online

The Chicago Blackhawks will get one last look at some of their prospects this month and a chance to see some potential top undrafted players as well in the NCAA tournament.

But first the selection show will announce the 16-team field Sunday.

The selection process is divided into two parts. The first one gives six conference champions automatic bids to the tournament, while the second phase is selecting the remaining best 10 teams on an at-large basis.

Four teams are seeded No. 1 as the top overall seed for each regional site. Those teams were announced one hour prior to the selection show. They’re in alphabetical order: Cornell, Notre Dame, Ohio State and St. Cloud State. The Fighting Irish are the lone regular-season and tournament conference champion in the group.

A four-team single-elimination regional will determine the regional final matchup. The four regional winners will advance to the Frozen Four on April 5 at Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The semifinal winners will play for the national championship.
