NHL All-Star Game 2017: Game time, TV schedule, and online streaming

The 3-on-3 tournament is here as the 2017 NHL All-Star Game goes down in Los Angeles on Sunday. Like last year’s event, teams representing each of the four divisions will play three games to determine the winner. Each team’s captain was voted in by fans, while the rest of the players were decided by the league.

The format is unchanged, so there will be three 3-on-3 games for 20 minutes each played with the current NHL overtime rules. If things are still tied after 20 minutes, there will be a shootout. The winners of the first two games will meet in the “championship game.”

Each team is full of big names. The Atlantic Division, which won the Skills Competition on Saturday night, features Carey Price, Auston Matthews, Brad Marchand, and the defensive trio of Victor Hedman, Shea Weber, and Erik Karlsson. They’ll face the Metropolitan Division featuring Sidney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin, John Tavares, and Taylor Hall. That team is also being coached by Wayne Gretzky.

The Central Division includes four Blackhawks (Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith, Corey Crawford) as well as Vladimir Tarasenko, Tyler Seguin, and P.K. Subban. The Pacific Division includes Connor McDavid in his first NHL All-Star Game, and he’ll be joined by Johnny Gaudreau, Joe Pavelski, Brent Burns, and Drew Doughty.

So there’s a lot of star power in store, and even this year’s event isn’t as unique as last year’s, which was the debut of the 3-on-3 tournament and had the delightful John Scott story, it’ll still be a lot of fun. Here’s how to tune in.
