2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs: SCH open thread
It's a big day with several first-round playoff games and the draft lottery. Here's your place to discuss all the action.
Hey SCH, it's the weekend! Here's what's on the game slate today:
Home team | Away team | Time | Network |
Tampa Bay Lightning | Detroit Red Wings | 2 p.m. CT | NBC |
St. Louis Blues | Minnesota Wild | 2 p.m. CT | NBC |
New York Rangers | Pittsburgh Penguins | 7 p.m. CT | NBC |
Anaheim Ducks | Winnipeg Jets | 9:30 p.m. CT | NBCSN |
The NHL 2015 Draft Lottery will also be held today, and the results will be announced on NBC immediately before the Penguins/Rangers game. This will determine where Connor McDavid and a few other top prospects will start their NHL careers. Will McDavid wind up with the Sabres and their long-suffering fanbase? Will he be headed to his hometown Maple Leafs? They both have long odds, but last year's Cup champion Los Angeles Kings or President's Trophy-winning Boston Bruins could also end up with the first overall pick.
