You may have caught this today on ESPN.com. If Stan’s first move as GM was to bring Heatley here, I’m pretty sure this blog would catch on fire. You already have the poor man’s version of Heatley, that’s Patrick Sharp, and the rich man’s version, Marian Hossa. And both of those players actually have a passing interest in what goes on in their own end. Plus, it’s another monster contract that doesn’t end until well after I’ll be dead, so this really makes no sense. And of course, there’s the small problem that all signs point to Dany Heatley being a major Deutch Bank. Unless…
We discussed a fantasy trade of Patrick Marleau, and he’s been mentioned as the main cog in any deal the Sharks make for Heatley. Is Stan trying to turn this into a three-team deal to land the Hawks Patty? Cuz that works from my end….
