Chicago Blackhawks prospect Roy Radke signed an amateur tryout agreement with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League on Tuesday.

Radke, 20, scored 23 goals and 13 assists in 45 games in his third season with the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League. The Geneva, Ill. native did miss some time this season to a lower-body injury. Last season, he scored 39 points (19 goals, 20 assists) in 66 games. He was scoreless in 15 postseason games.
“He’s big. He skates. He’s got that long reach,” IceHogs coach Ted Dent said last July during Chicago’s prospect camp. “I think he’s a winger, but he played center at camp this week. For all those guys, it’s just playing at a high place. It’s learning that everything is done fast.”
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound forward was drafted by Chicago in the sixth round in 2015. He joins defenseman Luc Snuggerud and forward Anthony Louis as prospects to sign an ATO with Rockford. Both Snuggerud and Louis signed entry-level deals with the Hawks.
