Watch: Blackhawks’ Patrick Kane scores his 300th NHL career goal

Chicago Blackhawks star winger Patrick Kane reached a special milestone with his 300th NHL goal in the second period Saturday against the New Jersey Devils. The much-needed goal helped the Hawks trim a three-goal deficit before the intermission.

Kane, who turned 29 last month, tallied his 300th goal just two games after surpassing Dennis Hull for fifth all-time in franchise history with two goals against the Minnesota Wild. He’ll have plenty of work to do to take fourth place on the list from Denis Savard (377).

Bobby Hull is the franchise’s all-time goal scorer with 604. Stan Mikita (541) and Steve Larmer (406) are second and third, respectively.

Kane also moved up the franchise’s all-time scoring list earlier this month. His two assists against the Arizona Coyotes on Dec. 10 broke a tie with Doug Wilson (779) for sole possession of fifth place on the list. Larmer sits in fourth (923).
