Patrick Kane blames himself for loss to Red Wings in postgame comments
The winger didn’t sound thrilled with his own performance.
Chicago Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane expressed unhappiness with his own performance after the team’s 4-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Friday night. The winger singled out his own effort as lacking in his postgame comments, as reported by Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times.

Kane made a stunning no-look pass to set up Artemi Panarin’s one-timer goal in the first period, which seemed to be setting up the Blackhawks’ second line for a big night. Instead, that was the extent of their production as the trio struggled to get anything else going.
As Kane said, part of that was just a lack of execution. There were missed passes, bobbled passes, and questionable decisions alike. Kane still managed to put up two shots on goal — his 40th straight multi-shot game — but based on his postgame comments, you can tell he saw a bigger opportunity in Detroit.
