Game 6 of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final between the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers takes place tonight in Sunrise, Florida, with the Panthers leading the series 3–2 and aiming to clinch their second consecutive championship.

In Game 6, Brad Marchand continued his torrid pace on the sport’s biggest stage, scoring twice to power the Panthers to a 5–2 victory over the Oilers Saturday night at Rogers Place. Marchand now leads all scorers with six goals in the series — the most in a Cup Final since 1988 — as the veteran winger helped push Florida to within one win of securing its second consecutive Stanley Cup championship. Sam Bennett also scored twice, including his 15th goal in the playoffs which leads all skaters.

As for the Oilers, Connor McDavid finally found the back of the net for his first goal the Cup Final, but it wasn’t enough to push Edmonton to victory. Unlike their dramatic comeback in Game 4, when they erased a 3–0 deficit to win in overtime, Edmonton had no such response on Saturday. History is now stacked against them: teams that win Game 5 to take a 3–2 lead in the Cup Final have gone on to hoist the Cup 73.1 percent of the time.
