The Stanley Cup Final begins Wednesday with a rematch between the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place in Edmonton.
This marks the second consecutive year these teams meet in the Cup Final. Last season, the Panthers overcame a 3–0 series deficit to win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history. Florida enters this series aiming to repeat as champions, while Edmonton seeks its first Cup since 1990 and to be the first Canadian team to win the Cup since the Montreal Canadiens did so in 1993.
Game 2 will happen on Friday.
