Stanley Cup Playoffs Discussion Thread: May 10-12

Friday kicks off with Boston Bruins hosting the Florida Panthers for Game 3 of their tied series. Following a 5-1 loss in Game 1, the Panthers responded in a big way with a 6-1 win in Game 2 to tie the series 1-1. In the second game of the night, the Edmonton Oilers looking to recover from a Game 1 upset by the Vancouver Canucks, who rallied back from a 4-1 second-period deficit to win 5-4. The Oilers may be without star forward Leon Draisaitl, who missed some time in Game 2 and is considered a game-time decision.

For Saturday night, the Carolina Hurricanes are hoping to starve off a sweeping elimination as the New York Rangers took a commanding 3-0 lead Thursday, while the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche look to break the 1-1 tie in their current series. Game 3 will be in Denver, which should be interesting considering the Avalanche were the best team at home and the Stars were the best on the road during the regular season.

Sunday night opens with what could be the final game of the Panthers vs. Bruins Round 2 series depending on Monday’s outcome. Later, the Canucks and Oilers continue to battle in Game 3 of their series out west.
