Western Conference
Vegas Golden Knights at Dallas Stars, 7 p.m. CT (ESPN)
Vegas leads the series 2-0.
The Stars' overtime woes in the playoffs – now 0-for-4 – continued on Sunday, as the Golden Knights defeated them 3-2 in Game 2 of the Western Conference Final and took a strong hold on the series. It was also the second straight game the Golden Knights' win was in comeback fashion: Jonathan Marchessault scored with 2:22 left in regulation to tie the game and Chandler Stephenson won it for Vegas 1:12 into overtime. It was Stephenson's first goal of the playoffs.
THAT.

This is the first time this playoffs the Stars have gone down 2-0. They lost Game 1 in both series against the Minnesota Wild and Seattle Kraken, but took Game 2 to even things up. Jason Robertson and Miro Heiskanen both scored for Dallas, a continuation of their own playoff dominance, but Vegas managed to shutdown Roope Hintz – the leading producer in the postseason so far – in Game 2. The Stars need to start getting production from their lower-line forwards and defensemen if they have a hope of turning the tides on the Golden Knights.
