Western Conference

Vegas Golden Knights at Dallas Stars – 7 p.m. CT (ESPN)

Vegas leads the series 3-2

The last team to come all the way back after being down 3-0 to start a series was the 2014 Los Angeles Kings, and unfortunately we all know quite well how that worked out for the rest of the league (poor Nick Leddy). No team has ever accomplished it in a conference final, so the Stars are gunning to be the first.

Dallas seems to have all the momentum right now. They’re at home, Jake Oettinger seems to be regaining his form, and their captain and cheap shot artist extrodinaire Jamie Benn back will draw back into the lineup tonight – fresh off his two game suspension.

Vegas is struggling to score all the sudden, and it’s well-balanced attack seems to have been reduced to everyone else watching Jack Eichel and Jonathan Marchessault and really hoping that they score. Veteran defenseman Alec Martinez was on that 2014 Kings squad, so you have to figure he’s letting everyone else in the Knights’ locker room know just how much they don’t want to give the Stars a shot at an anything goes Game 7.
