Team USA Women Take Silver Medal In A Heartbreaker
This is going to be short because I simply do not have the heart to go through everything from this game all over again. With just over 3 minutes to go, Team USA looked like they were on their way to a Gold Medal. 2 goals by Team Canada sent the game to Overtime. The Overtime was a strange one with penalties galore. The game winner for Canada came on a power play with some beautiful passing and a nice shot from Marie-Philip Poulin. Goal scorers from Team USA were Meghan Dugan and Alex Carpenter. Goal scorers for Team Canada in the 3rd period were Brianne Jenner and Poulin. The game was incredibly intense and well played. Congratulations to both teams on their performances during the tournament. Women's hockey was very well represented throughout.
