The Chicago Blackhawks got to hold a different championship trophy

Oh, we’ve all seen the Chicago Cubs holding the Commissioner’s Trophy. At the United Center, even! And it has been as sweet as seeing the Chicago Blackhawks pick up the Stanley Cup, even if you can’t exactly drink out of baseball’s top prize.

But still, holding it is a pretty awesome thing in and of itself. And when the Cubs came to visit the Hawks, the Hawks had the chance to do just that:

Thanks for letting us celebrate the win with you @cubs. #FlytheW #OneCity #OneGoal

No doubt it was much different for Jonathan Toews – it’s smaller and a bit less conducive to holding over one’s head, for sure – but that’s yet another championship trophy for him to take hold of. That’s a lot for just one guy.

Scott Darling and Vinnie Hinostroza, local boys, probably had the greatest appreciation for the opportunity, though.

Well that was cool #LocalBoys #GoCubsGo 🏆

Yeah – that’s gotta be another level for them.

Here’s to some more championship trophy-holding down the line, too.
