And just like that, we’ve arrived at the final preseason game of the year, with the Blackhawks hosting the Blues on Saturday night at the United Center.
As is customary for these types of games, a slew of players destined for Rockford were called up for this game and will play alongside a handle of other Blackhawks who remain on the fence between the AHL and the NHL.

All the NHL bubble guys are playing: Moore, Greene, Lafferty, Reichel, Korchinski, Allan, Crevier and Del Mastro (plus Slaggert and probably Soderblom in goal). Rest of lineup is AHL guys.
Line combinations are anyone’s guess. We’ll use this spot for the game thread and any postgame discussion. One final appetizer before we’re on to the main course.
A quick note from elsewhere in the hockey world to share as well: Anton Frondell is having himself quite a nice start to the 2025-26 hockey season.
