The NHL announced the finalists for the Calder Trophy today and our boy VERSTEEG! was named one of the finalists. The other two finalists are Steven Mason and Bobby Ryan and obviously any smart money bet is on Mason to take home the award.
It’s still a great sign that Chicago has had 3 finalists in two years.
VERSTEEG! led all rookie’s with 31 assists but came in second in points to Bobby Ryan and 4th among rookies for goals. VERSTEEG! was one of the many great surprises to this season and has been a hell of a lot of fun to watch throughout the year. Congrats Kris.
