Watch: Blackhawks’ Anthony Duclair gives his mom a Mercedes-Benz on Mother’s Day

Chicago Blackhawks winger Anthony Duclair really loves his mom, so this year he went out and bought her a big present: a new Mercedes-Benz car.

After Duclair told his mother, Dominique Rafael, about the gift she said, “it’s too much.” But she eventually accepted the gift.

The 22-year-old Duclair asked for a trade this past season and the Coyotes granted his wish Jan. 10. Duclair and defenseman Adam Clendening were sent from Arizona to Chicago in exchange for forwards Richard Panik and Laurent Dauphin on Jan. 10. Duclair scored two goals and eight points in 23 games with Chicago after the trade. He’s set to be a restricted free agent this summer.

If he can deliver a gift like that on Mother’s Day, hopefully Chicago general manager Stan Bowman will sign him to bring the young winger back to see if he’ll deliver on the ice when he’s full healthy once again.
