Watch: Blackhawks honor Dennis Hull with ‘One More Shift’

The Blackhawks honored former forward Dennis Hull with their “One More Shift” program Monday night at the United Center.

Hull joined the team on the ice during the playing of the “Star-Spangled Banner” after the starting lineup was announced, and skated on the ice in full gear. The team also played highlights from his career in the arena.

Hull played 13 of his 14 NHL seasons with the Blackhawks from 1964-77, recording 298 goals and 640 points. His 904 games in a Blackhawks uniform ranks eighth all time in franchise history, and his goal total is seventh most for the team.

It’s the second time this season the Blackhawks have honored a former player with its “One More Shift” program, which is in its third season. Former forward and current television color analyst Eddie Olczyk received the tribute in November on “Hockey Fights Cancer” after becoming cancer-free of prostate cancer.
