World Juniors 2017: Dec. 27 schedule, TV, game thread
Blackhawks prospect Radovan Bondra will make his tournament debut when Slovakia plays Canada.
Chicago Blackhawks prospect Radovan Bondra will be in action on Day 2 of the 2017 World Junior Championship.
Bondra will play in his first game of the tournament when Slovakia plays host nation Canada. Russia and Lativa face off as each team looks for its first win. Russia fell 5-3 to Canada while Lativa dropped a 6-1 decision to the United States on Monday.
Switzerland and the Czech Republic open the day in Group A play. Canada scored three power-play goals, including a pair by Dylan Strome in its win over Russia on Monday. Defending champion Finland fell in its opening game, 2-1, to Czech Republic. The Finns play Denmark on Tuesday. It’s unclear what Hawks prospect Mathias From’s status is as he deals with an ankle injury.
