Antoine Vermette and Teuvo Teravainen will be back in the lineup when the Chicago Blackhawks host the Anaheim Ducks in Game 4 of the Western Conference Final on Saturday at the United Center.
Vermette and Teravainen were benched in Game 3 but skated in their usual spots in morning line rushes, on the third line with Patrick Sharp. The pair have appeared in 10 and eight of the Hawks’ 13 playoff games, tallying two and three points, respectively.
The Hawks dropped their first home game of the postseason on Thursday. After splitting the first two games of the best-of-seven series in Anaheim, the Hawks were handed a 2-1 loss.
Patrick Kane scored the lone goal for the Hawks, while Corey Crawford made 25 saves in the loss. It was Kane’s 45th career playoff goal, tying him with Steve Larmer for fourth on the club’s all-time list. Only Stan Mikita (59), Denis Savard (61) and Bobby Hull (62) have scored more for the Hawks in the postseason.
Jonathan Toews and Sharp haven’t scored goals since May 3 against the Minnesota Wild, and Brandon Saad is scoreless since May 1 against the Wild.
Marcus Kruger didn’t take a single faceoff in Game 3 but Quenneville said he expects Kruger to see time at the dot in Game 4.

Opponent Breakdown: Anaheim Ducks
Anaheim improved to 10-2 overall in these playoffs and 4-1 on the road with the Game 3 victory.
Ducks goaltender Frederik Andersen came up big again for the Ducks in Game 3, stopping 27-of-28 shots. Andersen has stopped 112-of-117 shots over three games for a .957 save percentage. The Ducks also shut down the Hawks power play, a unit that has scored twice in Game 2.
Simon Despres scored the game-winning goal, his first career playoff tally. Patrick Marron lit the lamp for the other Ducks goal and Ryan Getzlaf added a pair of assists. Getzlaf leads the league with 14 assists in the postseason.
The Ducks have still yet to play James Wisniewski, who was brought in at the March 2 trade deadline to upgrade the Ducks’ blue line corps. They haven’t needed to either with going 9-2 to open the postseason. Wisniewski, who played parts of four seasons with the Hawks from 2005 to 2009, has registered seven points in 24 playoff games, including a goal and two assists during his first stint with the Ducks in 2009.
Anaheim is 4-1 on the road this spring with their lone loss to the Calgary Flames in the second-round.
