Chicago Blackhawks prospect Tyler Motte scored his first goal of the tournament in the second period of the semifinal against Canada to give the United States a 3-2 lead over the defending champions.
Motte, a 2013 fourth-round pick by Chicago, now has a goal and two assists in the tournament to match Rockford IceHogs and U.S. teammate Vincent Hinostroza.
