2018 Stanley Cup playoffs: April 17 open thread

There are three games on the schedule for Tuesday, including the Vegas Golden Knights going for a sweep of the Los Angeles Kings.

The Golden Knights will try to make history once again when they try to be the first expansion team to sweep an opening round series. The Kings aren’t too far removed from creating a little bit of history of their own. Los Angeles rallied from a 3-0 deficit to the San Jose Sharks in the 2014 first round on their way to winning their second Stanley Cup in three years.

The Columbus Blue Jackets seek their first 3-0 lead in a series in franchise history. It hasn’t been easy for the Blue Jackets as they’ve had to go to overtime to win both games so far.

The Minnesota Wild look to even their series 2-2 after a dominating home win in Game 3. It’ll be a tough task for the Wild, who lost forward Zach Parise for six to eight weeks with a broken sterum. The injury happened with 4 minutes, 3 seconds left in the game when he was hit by the Winnipeg Jets’ Mark Scheifele and Ben Chiarot. The Jets hope starting goaltender Connor Hellebuyck will bounce back after allowing four goals in the last outing.

Here’s the schedule for Tuesday’s four games:
