2018 Stanley Cup playoffs: May 1 open thread

There are two Game 3s in the Stanley Cup playoffs Tuesday, with each series tie 1-1.

The Washington Capitals look to build off their Game 2 win and remain unbeaten on the road this postseason as the series shifts to Pittsburgh. The Capitals won all three games in Columbus during the first round. The Penguins were 0-2 at home in their first-round series against the Flyers, who outscored the two-time reigning Stanley Cup champions 9-3.

The Winnipeg Jets will play their first second-round home game in franchise history. The Jets have dominated at Bell MTS Place with 12 straight wins, including three in the first round against the Wild. The Predators were 2-1 on the road against the Avalanche.

The Preds-Jets game will start a mere 30 minutes after the Caps-Pens game.
