2018 Stanley Cup playoffs: April 29 open thread

There are two Game 2s on Sunday, and in each game the home team is looking to even the series.

The Washington Capitals dropped the first two games at home against the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first round, but still won the series in six games. They could be looking at a similar deficit against the two-time reigning Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins if they don’t win Sunday. The Penguins took Game 1 after rallying from a three-goal hole.

The Nashville Predators, however, are in unfamiliar territory. The Predators find themselves down 1-0 in a series for the first time in six postseason series. Nashville, the Presidents’ Trophy winners as the best regular-season team, outshot the Winnipeg Jets, but couldn’t get more than one shot past goaltender Connor Hellebuyck in a 4-1 loss.
