2018 World Championship schedule: May 8

Tomas Jurco will be the only Chicago Blackhawks player in action during Tuesday’s games at the World Championship.

Jurco and Slovakia will play Austria on NHL Network. He was held without a shot on goal in 17:50 of ice time in Slovakia’s 2-0 loss to Switzerland. In Slovakia’s first game of the tournament, he had a team-high four shots in a loss to the Czech Republic in 18:06 of ice time.

The Czech Republic and Switzerland will be the other game on NHL Network. The Czechs fell 3-2 to Sweden on Sunday. Tomas Hyka, a Vegas Golden Knights prospect, had a goal and an assist in the loss.

Former Hawks

Forward Teuvo Teravainen and ex-defensman prospect Ville Pokka will play for Finland against Norway. Teravainen’s eight points (three goals, five assists) are second in the tournament to Carolina Hurricanes teammate and countrymen Sebastian Aho’s 10 points (four goals, six assists).
