2018 World Championship schedule: May 12

Chicago Blackhawks will have four players and a prospect in action Saturday at the World Championship in Denmark.

The day is highlighted by two Hawks against each other: Erik Gustafsson (Sweden) vs. Tomas Jurco (Slovakia). Sweden, the defending Worlds champion, are undefeated through four games at this year’s tournament in Group A. Slovakia is two points back of Czech Republic and Switzerland for a playoff spot. Gustafsson hasn’t recorded a point, while Jurco has one goal.

Forward Dominik Kahun and Germany will face off against Latvia. Germany is one point shy Lativa and three from Denmark in Group B for a position in the quarterfinals. Kahun has one assist in four tournament games.

Artem Anisimov and prospect Maxim Shalunov (Russia) will play Switzerland. Russia is in second place in Group B with 10 points. Anisimov and Shalunov each have two goals and two assists in the tournament.

Former Hawks

Two former Hawks and one prospect will play Saturday. Peter Regin and Denmark will face South Korea, while Teuvo Teravainen and Ville Pokka (Finland) meet Canada.

Regin has one assist for Denmark, who is clinching to a playoff spot. Teravainen’s 11 points (four goals, seven assists) rank second in the tournament behind Carolina Hurricanes teammate and countrymen Sebastian Aho and current Hawks forward Patrick Kane (12 points).
