The Blues host the Bruins for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final on Saturday night at Enterprise Center in St. Louis.
It’s the first Cup Final in St. Louis in 49 years and has a slightly different feel to it as the series is tied 1-1 after the Blues’ first Cup Final victory in franchise history. Blues defenseman Carl Gunnarsson scored in overtime for a 3-2 win Wednesday in Boston.
St. Louis will be without Oskar Sundqvist, who was suspended for Game 3 after boarding Bruins’ Matt Grzelcyk on Wednesday. In the playoffs, Sundqvist has four goals and nine points and plays a key role on the Blues’ penalty kill. Zach Sanford or Robert Thomas are options to slot into the lineup in Sundqvist’s spot.
Chicago Steel alum John Moore is expected to replace Grzelcyk for Game 3. The Winnetka, Illinois native has no points in five playoff games and hasn’t played since Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final.
