NHL players vote in favor of nicknames on jerseys like MLB Players’ Weekend
Here’s how that would look for the Blackhawks.
NHL players are in favor of having nicknames displayed on their jerseys for a regular-season game, according to this year’s NHL Players’ Association poll that was released Wednesday.
More than 500 players participated in the survey that included 20-plus hockey-related questions. Of those surveyed, 66.8 percent voted yes in favor of having nicknames on jerseys for a regular-season game, while 33.2 percent voted no among 373 votes.
For the past two seasons, MLB players have worn their nicknames on jerseys while sporting colorful alternate uniforms during Players’ Weekend.
With that in mind, here’s how that could look for the Blackhawks.
