2019 Stanley Cup playoffs: April 20 open thread

There are three games on the schedule for Saturday, with one elimination game on tap.

The day starts with the Stars against the Predators at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The Predators took a 2-1 series lead, but rookie Roope Hintz shined with two goals to lead the Stars even the series.

The Jets fly back to St. Louis and will try to keep their playoff hopes alive with a win in Game 6 to force a winner-take-all Game 7. The home team has yet to win a game in the series.

Out East, the Hurricanes seek their third straight win against the defending Stanley Cup champion Capitals. Washington will be without T.J. Oshie, one of its top players, indefinitely after he was pushed by Warren Foegele into the boards late in the third period. With Oshie out, the Capitals called up Devante Smith-Pelly from the AHL.

Saturday’s schedule

Game 5: Stars at Predators, 2 p.m. (NBC), Tied 2-2

Game 6: Jets at Blues, 6 p.m. (NBCSN), STL 3-2
