2019 Stanley Cup playoffs: April 22 open thread

There are two elimination games on the schedule for Monday.

The Hurricanes will hope to ride the home crowd wave from PNC Arena against the Capitals in Game 6. The home team has won the first five games in the series. The Capitals will officially be without winger T.J. Oshie indefinitely after he had surgery to repair a broken clavicle. Oshie missed Game 5, but the Capitals stepped up in a big way with a 6-0 home win.

The Predators are also trying to avoid elimination when they visit the Stars in Dallas. The Stars are hoping to win their first playoff series since taking down the Wild in six games in 2016. Dallas and Nashville split Games 3 and 4 at American Airlines Center.

Monday’s schedule

Game 6: Capitals at Hurricanes, 6 p.m. (NBCSN), WSH 3-2

Game 6: Predators at Stars, 7:30 p.m. (CNBC), DAL 3-2
