2019 Stanley Cup playoffs: April 26 open thread

The Islanders look to keep things rolling when they open the second round against the Hurricanes. New York swept the Penguins in the first round and haven’t played since April 16. The Hurricanes advanced by winning Game 7 in double overtime against the Capitals on Wednesday. Carolina have won four of the final five games in the first-round series.

Hurricanes: Trevor van Riemsdyk, Teuvo Teravainen, Jaccob Slavin (Steel alum)

Islanders: Nick Leddy

The second game of the night features a similar timeline for rest between the two teams. The Avalanche are well rested after finishing their five-game series win against the West’s top-seeded Flames on April 19. The Sharks, meanwhile, are coming off an incredible overtime win in Game 7 against the Golden Knights on Tuesday.

Avalanche: J.T. Compher (Northbrook)
