2019 Stanley Cup playoffs: April 29 open thread

There’s only one game on the schedule with the Blues visiting the Stars at American Airlines Center in Dallas.

The Stars are coming off a 4-2 victory behind two goals from rookie Roope Hintz in Game 2 to even the series. Dallas, who is 2-1 at home, faces a Blues team that is 3-0 on the road in the playoffs.

St. Louis won three games in the first round at Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg, one of the more rowdy arenas in the league. The success away from Enterprise Center should come as no surprise given St. Louis had the fourth-best road record during the regular season at 21-13-7.

Jamie Benn has found plenty of success this season against the Blues with five goals in four regular-season games. He already has a goal and an assist in this series. For Benn, it’s his fifth playoff series with Dallas but he’s never made it to the conference final. Going up 2-1 in the series would be a boost for Benn and the Stars led by first-year head coach Jim Montgomery.
