The Stars look to advance to the Western Conference Final for the first time since 2008, when they host the Blues on Sunday afternoon at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
The Stars have reached the second round only once since then when they fell in seven games to the Blues in 2016. Dallas won the first game in that series, but never led the series again.
After alternating the first four games of this year’s second-round series, the Stars won 2-1 in Game 5 in St. Louis behind a 39-save performance from Ben Bishop.
Dallas is 3-2 at home in the playoffs, while St. Louis is 4-1 on the road. The Blues’ lone loss was a 4-2 setback in Game 4 to the Stars.
A loss for the Blues would extend their Stanley Cup drought to a remarkable 52 years.
