2019 Stanley Cup playoffs: April 13 open thread

There are four games on the schedule for Saturday, including two on NBC.

The Capitals look to take a 2-0 series lead against the Hurricanes and extend their playoff win streak to six games dating back to last year’s Stanley Cup Final. Carolina has lost five consecutive playoff games dating back to the 2009 Eastern Conference Final against Pittsburgh.

The Predators will try to even the series against the Stars in front of a raucous home crowd. Dallas took a 2-0 series lead in their last first-round series in 2016 against Minnesota and went on to win the series 4-2.

The Maple Leafs like the Stars are attempting to take a 2-0 series lead back home. Toronto won 4-1 in Game 1 in Boston.

Flames goaltender Mike Smith made 26 saves to lead Calgary to a 4-0 shutout win over the Avalanche in Game 1. It was the second straight playoff game Colorado hasn’t scored.
