2019 World Championship: May 11 schedule, TV, game thread

The second day of the preliminary round at the World Championship on Saturday in Slovakia will have seven Blackhawks players, including three prospects in action.

All three Group A games will be televised on NHL Network, starting with Blackhawks prospect Mathias From and Denmark taking on France. Dominik Kahun and Germany take the ice next against Great Britain, who has Brendan Perlini’s brother, Brett, on the team.

Finland (Henri Jokiharju and prospect Kevin Lankinen) close out the day for Group A against the Slovakia. Lankinen made 20 saves in Finland’s 3-1 win over Canada on Friday. Slovakia stunned the United States in a 4-1 win.

In Group B play, prospect Philipp Kurashev and Switzerland meet Italy. The second game won’t have any Blackhawks players or prospects in it with Austria and Latvia. The final game will see Norwegian winger Andreas Martinsen take on Czech winger Dominik Kubalik. Martinsen had an assist in Norway’s 5-2 loss to Russia, while Kubalik had a goal and assist in the Czech’s 5-2 win over Sweden.
