2019 World Championship: May 16 schedule, TV, game thread

The seventh day of the preliminary round at the World Championship in Slovakia will feature four Blackhawks players and two prospects.

Both Group A games will once again be broadcasted on NHL Network. The day starts with Dylan Strome (Canada) facing France. Strome has one goal in three tournament games.

Henri Jokiharju and goalie prospect Kevin Lankinen (Finland) play Denmark. Jokiharju has yet to record a point on the blue line, while Lankinen has backstopped two wins for the Finns. Lankinen sat out their last game, which they lost in overtime to the United States. Forward prospect Mathias From has yet to play for the Danes.

In Group B play, Erik Gustafsson and Marcus Kruger (Sweden) take on Austria. Gustafsson is averaging an assist per game with three total and Kruger has one goal.

Prospect Dominik Kubalik (Czech Republic) meets Latvia. Kubalik was held off the scoresheet for the first time in the tournament in a 3-0 loss to Russia on Monday. The winger shares the team lead in scoring with Detroit defenseman Filip Hronek at five points with each player having two goals and three assists.
