2019 World Championship: Blackhawks’ Alex DeBrincat, Erik Gustafsson each have an assist on Day 4

United States 3, Finland 2 (OT)

Alex DeBrincat recorded the primary assist on Brady Skjei’s opening goal for Team USA. DeBrincat (three goals, one assist) is tied with Sabres forward Jack Eichel (four assists) for the team lead in points at four.

Patrick Kane had three shots on net, while Finnish defenseman Henri Jokiharju had none in 11 minutes of ice time. Goalie prospect Kevin Lankinen sat out for the first time in the tournament.

Sweden 9, Norway 1

Defenseman Erik Gustafsson recorded the secondary assist on Mario Kempe’s goal to make it 6-0. Gustafsson now has three assists in the tournament.

Marcus Kruger fired two shots on net. Andreas Martinsen had one shot on net for Norway.

Russia 3, Czech Republic 0

Russian forward Artem Anisimov had one shot on net, while Czech winger prospect Dominik Kubalik was held without a shot on net. It’s the first game Kubalik has not scored a point in this year’s tournament.

Canada 6, Slovakia 5

Dylan Strome had one shot on net in Canada’s win.
