2020 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs: August 18 schedule, how to watch on TV

Two teams on the brink of elimination, including the 2018 Stanley Cup Champions, highlight the hockey action that’ll unfold Tuesday.

It all starts in the Eastern Conference’s hub in Toronto, where the Flyers own a 2-1 series lead over the Canadiens. Philadelphia jumped with a 1-0 shutout victory in Game 3 on Sunday, riding 23 saves from young phenom Carter Hart to the win.

The Western Conference games rev up later in the afternoon, with the Stars and Flames tied 2-2 entering Game 5. An overtime goal from Alexander Radulov in Game 4 secured the Stars’ 5-4 win.

It’s a much different story in the first series of the evening, with the Islanders looking to complete a four-game sweep of the Capitals. New York’s defense has been the story of the series, with Washington scoring only five goals through the first three games.

The nightcap shifts back to the Western Conference, where the Blackhawks will look to stave off elimination for another game when the puck drops on Game 5 against the Golden Knights.
