A Look Inside NHL Gamecenter Live’s Vault

NHL Gamecenter Live is a very important tool for a hockey blogger. Not only is it a great way to catch up with the other teams within the Divsion/Conference but it helps with covering the Blackhawks as well. Some of the great features include getting access to goal replays moments after they occur and the condensed full game replays the following morning. I love the mosaic view to watch up to four games at once if you can’t decide which game to view. The multi platform function also comes in handy by being able to watch from your computer, smart phone, tablet or even on your TV via Playstation or Xbox. These are a few of the reasons why GCL is better than getting just the Centre Ice package through your cable or satellite provider. My only recommendation is to not follow Twitter when watching a game on GCL because you are about a minute behind the live action.

My favorite part of getting Gamecenter Live is a feature I have barely scratched the surface on; the Vault. Currently the Vault contains 866 classic NHL games for your viewing pleasure and they are constantly rotating in new games. You search the games by team, decade or even by player. As of today, there are currently 61 classic Blackhawks games going as far back as 1962. You can relive some great playoff moments from the 80’s and early 90’s. The final game from the Chicago Stadium is up for your viewing pleasure. You can even relive some moments from recent history including many of the playoff games from the 2010 Stanley Cup run. The ability to watch Stan Mikita, Steve Larmer and Patrick Kane all in the same day is pretty damn cool.

I know a lot of you guys don’t live in the Chicago market and it is hard for you watch the Hawks.  If you have the $169 to spare, I highly recommend subscribing to Gamecenter Live.
