Blackhawks acquire goaltender Drew MacIntyre from Carolina for Dennis Robertson

The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired goaltender Drew MacIntyre from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for defenseman Dennis Robertson, the team announced Monday morning.

Robertson, 24, was dealt to Chicago last September along with Jake Massie and a fifth-round pick for Kris Versteeg, Joakim Nordstrom and a third-round pick in 2017. He tallied two goals and three assists in 37 games with the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL. He has collected 22 points (5G, 17A) in 95 career AHL games across three seasons with Charlotte (2013-15) and Rockford (2015-16)

MacIntyre, 32, who last played in the NHL for the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2013-14, has posted a 11-13-1 record with a 3.09 goals-against average and .890 save percentage in 28 games for the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL. MacIntyre has also registered a 42-30 record in 76 career Calder Cup Playoffs games. He was selected by Detroit in the fourth round (121st overall) of the 2001 NHL Draft.
