The Chicago Blackhawks will play three playoff teams during its six-game 2016-17 preseason, the team announced Wednesday.

The Hawks will face the Eastern Conference champion Penguins, St. Louis Blues and Detroit Red Wings. They’ll face each team at home and on the road with the first game against Pittsburgh on Sept. 28. The other games at the United Center will be Oct. 1 against the Blues and Oct. 4 against the Red Wings.

The Hawks travel to play the Penguins on Sept. 30, the Red Wings Oct. 2 and Blues on Oct. 8.

Chicago could have up to 13 players competing in the World Cup of Hockey, which runs from Sept. 17 until Sept. 28 or Oct. 1 depending on when the final best-of-three series concludes. The players are: Corey Crawford, Duncan Keith, Jonathan Toews (Canada); Michal Kempny (Czech Republic); Christian Ehrhoff and Marian Hossa (Team Europe), Ville Pokka and Teuvo Teravainen (Finland); Artem Anisimov and Artemi Panarin (Russia); Niklas Hjalmarsson and Marcus Kruger (Sweden) and Patrick Kane (United States).
