Blackhawks’ Anthony Duclair to miss 1-2 weeks with right leg injury after Brad Marchand clothesline

Chicago Blackhawks forward Anthony Duclair will miss 1-2 weeks with an apparent right leg injury, coach Joel Quenneville said after Saturday’s 7-4 loss to the Boston Bruins.

Duclair suffered the injury when his right leg buckled underneath him after Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand clothesline during the first period.

Marchand collided with Duclair when he jumped into the air and struck him with his left forearm. The hit caused Duclair to loose his stick and fall backwards as his right knee twisted beneath him. Duclair left the game in the first period and did not return.

Duclair has 11 goals and 12 assist in 55 games this season between Arizona and Chicago.

Marchand was called for a two-minute minor interference penalty. The Hawks were unable to capitalize as the Bruins took a 1-0 lead on Noel Acciari’s short-handed goal. The Bruins added another goal before Chicago scored two goals in 46 seconds to make it 2-2 after the first period.
