The Chicago Blackhawks will be resting most of their star players aside from Brandon Saad and goaltender Corey Crawford on Monday against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden in Boston.
Crawford is expected to play the entire game in net for Chicago, who did not have forwards Artem Anisimov, Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Richard Panik, Patrick Sharp and defenseman Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook travel for the game.
Saad will play on the top line as usual with David Kampf centering the line with Ryan Hartman at right wing. Alex DeBrincat has been moved down from the second line to third with Tanner Kero and John Hayden. Lance Bouma will take the second-line left wing role.
Defensively, the battle for the sixth and seventh defensive spot continues with Cody Franson, Erik Gustafsson, Jordan Oesterle, Ville Pokka and Jan Rutta making the trip to Boston.
